  • We want meetings to suit your needs. We can feed in to your regular board meetings too.

We recommend one meeting a month, to review any questions or issues you have come across.

    Emergency questions? Just call.

Once a year we want to meet you for a longer review of your structure, direction and documentation. Then we can put a todo list together and work on it with you.

  • Call us when you need us.

We’re also on Teams - just message!

We want you to feel comfortable running things past us. We want to head issues off before they arise, so call early and we can chat it through.

  • If we have them in our library, you can have them in yours.

If you need something, just ask. If we cannot provide it, we can organise how we source it with you.

Here is a list of documents you should expect to have access to!

  • Keeping files organised is difficult.

We provide direct access to our Teams platform for you, so you can save and use the documents as you need to.

  • Have a new contract to review?

Send it to us for a top-line, red-flag review.

You will understand the bigger risks and whether they need negotiating now.

More detailed reviews can be provided seperately.

  • We can provide non-litigation (Court focussed) advice on your legal position and guidance on strategy.

We can help instruct barristers and work with you on unregulated work.

What do our retainers really include?

Confidentiality

Confidentiality comes as standard. We build it into our T&Cs with you.

Unless we are required to by law or a Court (which should be never, so long as you are not breaking the law), our confidentiality bar is high.

We will not even mention you are a client, unless you agree we can.

You can trust in each conversation we have. Confidence is key.

FAQs

Is there a limit on the work i can ask for?

We can only produce what we are able to produce.

In order to manage expectations we have a reasonable use policy, which basically means any requests from you must be for genuine use, not excessive and within what we can offer.

Is there anything you cannot include?

Anything outside of the items set out in the retainer are excluded.

We cannot carry out any regulated activity, which for us means any ‘reserved’ activity.

You can read what that means here.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we do. We are insured to carry out professional services in accordance with our retainer.

What if you cannot do the work?

We can still help manage the work, and ask a regulated firm to assist with it.

Thier work would not be included in the retainer, but our time would be.

Will the price go up?

We do build in a review of our charges, which is based on work requested and whether we have considered our reasonable use policy during the engagement.

Our aim is to not charge any more than we say we would, so we will work closely to try and manage expectations, before we change anything.
